Name: Ashton/Ash
Age: 4 years
Rank or Location: Blood Alleys
Sex: Male
Breed: German Shepherd, pure
Description: A large dog, even for a German Shepherd.
Fur - Cream colored, but with dark brown on his face, ears and back.
Eyes - A warm tone of amber/orange.
Distinctive Markings - The classic GSD markings.
Personality:
On the outside he's a very relaxed, cool-headed dog. His mannerisms are usually friendly and polite, and his smooth way of speech makes him easy to trust, along with his charming grin.
However, under the charade he's very dark and temperamental. He pretends to be optimistic, but seriously hates everything about his life. He takes everything personally, is quick to pick a fight, and can blow up in fury- with bark or bite- if offended in anyway.
He won't commit himself or put his trust in anyone: He's part of the Blood Alleys because it's the only thing he believes in.
He loves to flirt around with females, but he fears any kind of long-term relationship. He doesn't care who's heart he breaks, as long as his own isn't broken again.
Strengths: Being forced into life as a stray at a young age, Ashton knows his street smarts. He has a way with words that he's learned to use to his advantage, and he even claims he could convince another dog the sky was purple if he wanted to- lies are his specialty.
This means he can wiggle his way out of tight situations without lifting a claw.
He's also a skilled fighter, and has unusually sharp teeth(that he likes to keep busy, wether they be chewing old bones or the tails of his enemies.)
Weaknesses: Because of his large size, he's easy to be over come by smaller enemies. While he's smart when it comes to fighting, he's not very powerful, making his size a burden he must over-come.
Also, though he can get himself out of fighting situations easily, it's impossible if his offender makes it personal and gets his temper fired up. Once it is, he would attack a gang of dogs even if he was alone.
History:
As a young puppy, he was adopted out to a family with two kids. During his puppy hood, he became very attached to the youngest girl in the family, Julie. She was always nice to him, she pet him gently and played with him. On the other hand, the parents ignored him, and the older brother was violent and would always hit him. He seeked comfort in the little girl, and she returned it with love. They became inseperal friends, and he committed himself to take care of her and defend her for the rest of his life: she was all he had, but all he wanted.
One day, the two kids were playing and the boy hit Julie and made her cry. Ashton got so angry, he wanted to tear the boy to shreds. He couldn't contain himself when the boy hit her again, then kicked him in the ribs as he growled for him to stop. He jumped at him and sunk his teeth into his arm, biting even harder in a blind fury as the boy's screaming grew louder and louder. There was blood, so much blood, but he didn't care.
Next thing he knew was being dragged off by the father, while the mother wailed and desperately dialed 911.
A few days passed of life in a cage. Julie tried to pet him, but was stopped. The boy wasn't at the house anymore. At the end of the 2nd day, the mother came home sobbing, and the father had murder in his eyes as he stomped up to the kennel. Ashton panted enthusiastically, thinking he was FINALLY being taken on a walk: but instead he got kicked across the room. He looked to little Julie for help, or at least forgiveness, but she wouldn't look back. Another kick came, and he squealed as he was sent flying out the door and down the stairs.
He felt so awful: had one of the kicks damaged his heart? No, it wasn't that causing the big black gap in his heart. Without another look back at his home, he began running, as far as his young legs would take him.
He's lived on the streets ever since, scrounging for survival and just barely making it by, until he met the Blood Alleys.
