The Great Lawn - 'Red Pavement'

[Akira]

It's summer, the city isn't as stifling hot as before which makes people walk outside more. Dog catchers are out more openly and meat is less scarce though of course you can always try the food carts. Dog gangs are on the look out for enemies, friends and recruits, you best watch out too...killing isn't uncommon in this rough world.

[Vinny]

Vinny smiled slightly at Akira's kindness. He raced after her, until they came to the great lawn. The grass felt wonderful under his hard, scratched up pads. He padded, head down, over to a nearby tree and slumped down to the ground. The cool grass soothed his hot skin and he rolled over onto his back, his legs sprawling in the air. He had never felt grass until he escaped from the Bad Place. Now he wondered how he had ever survived without it.

Mel barked out cutely and got to her daity paws and bounced after them, quick and precise, her feathery tail hair gliding behind her and her legs moving quickly trhough the territory. Her ears were gently pushed back by the passing wind and she giggled in a chirpy voice. She rolled in the grass, her ears flying about, until she hit Vinny and looked up from her position on her back, her ears laying on the ground. She giggled and chirped out, "Whoops!"

[Akira]

Akira plopped down beside him though still sat, alert and poised for action. Her bi-coloured eyes searching the large expense of land. Anubis laid beside her and rolled onto his back, "so Vin ol' boy! Have anything to tell us?"
Akira got up suddenly, her large ears pricked and then she calmed down again. She was always like that, ready for anything.
"Eh, it's so hot." she whined.

[Vinny]

Vinny sighed and pushed Mel away with his nose. The happy little cocker spaniel could take a toll on his already stressed nerves at times. He tensed as Anubis said his name and he looked up at the general. Oh good god, did I do something? he wondered bitterly. "Ummm..." he muttered, his eyes blazing with confusion.

[heather]

Mel giggled and wagged her tail. She rolled to her paws and hopped over to a toad, hopping about, croaking dully. She leaned down, eyes narrowed, butt high in the air, waggling from side to side. She moved forward, untill she was close enough, then jumped, only to see it was further away again. THis continued till she was in front of Anubis, and she well over, panting.

[Akira]

Anubis laughed at his confused face and wagged his tail, "oh don't worry you big softy, you're not in trouble. Trust me you would know if you were..." he said the last part deathly calm.
"Yeah because our murderers come with smiles..." Akira said though her mind was somewhere else.

Anubis looked at Mel and then smiled, his large ears swiveling to hear around.
"Some one is rolly today!" he laughed.

Mel stuck her tong out at him and chirpered, "It kept hopping away!" She wagged her tail and got up. "Yep! I'm the greatest assasian ever, but I am so addorable, no one would know!" She giggled and sat next to Anubis, his form towering over her by... just lots. She growled falsly to show her point.

[Vinny]

Vinny sighed in relief and rested his head on his paws. He watched Mel roll around on the ground happily and smiled. It was nice seeing his Bloodmates having fun, even if they were completely obnoxious about it. He let his body relax, something he had never had the privilege to do before he joined Akira's gang. He watched the humans and other dogs quietly, trying to relax his mind as well as his muscles.

[Akira]

Akira turned back to Anubis and the rest of them and said, "yesterday I saw a Resistance member on our territory..." she said shallowly. Anubis pricked his ears and growled, his amber eyes flashing harshly, "why would they go there?"
"Who knows, I chased them out though and gave them a swift kick to the rump!" she growled and rose onto her hind legs.
"Good job but they keep getting closer..." Anubis sighed but now was not the time to be worrying.

Mel sighed. "I was having such a good time, and you dimmened it..." She pouted a bit, her ears falling down a bit. She glared at the frog that had escaped and frowned. Not fair! She grumbled a bit but then gave up.

[Vinny]

Vinny smiled and nudged Mel kindly. "Don't worry, there'll be other frogs." His eyes shone kindly, a very unusual gesture for him, especially today. He reached around and grabbed a fallen stick and began to gnaw on it, his teeth making it splinter and crack within a few bites.

Mel giggled slightly and then sighed, letting her head fall onto Anubis's leg, her eyes just gazing at the other side of the park place. She sighed and wagged her tail a bit. What a wonderful day today would be...

[Mosseh]

Samson followed his blood-mates to Central park. Before he came to the Blood Alley's he remembered taking walks here with his partner and driving in the police cruiser, making sure everything was a-okay. More often than not, they were in a different part of New York, trying to hunt down drug dealers.

Alice trotted in, looking around. The she-dog growled and picked up a dead frog so she would eat. Alice was very out-driven like that. She did not like crowds or other dogs. Her paw was the most humiliated part of her. It made her slow and a disadvantage in fight. Alice plopped to the ground in a sigh, looking at Vinny and the gang.
