She shook her head at what Wes had said. She never was hurt in the first place, and she needed to get to know him better. He could be her way in to valuable information, and that would be important in her time crunch. She turned her head at what the leader had said, and had to keep from spitting in disgust. Owner. A pampered life. Pathetic.

"Great! Thanks Zodiac!" Wes pipped up excitedly. He bounded over and grabbed some for him and Silence. He dropped some at her paws. "We don't even have to go and find food for ourselves. Isn't Zodiac great?" He took a generous bite of his portion.

Chance decided it was a good idea to introduce himself to the newcomer, and he stood up and strode over to Wes and the newbie. "Hey Wes," the reddish dog yipped in welcome. "Who's your new friend?" He asked, smiling at the silent female.

"Hey Chance." Wes barked, wagging his tail like always. He was one of the youngest of the Resistance. And he got along with just about everybody. "This is Silence, I call her that cause she can't talk." He cocked his head.

She turned her head to the newcomer, and didn't smile or anything. She listened to him speak, and just kinda stared. At this point, she was done with introductions and smiling for the day. Wow, was this difficult. It was difficult trying to fit in. At least they were pretty easy to make friends with. She sniffed the ham at her feet, and was tempted to shake her head no and go off and hunt on her own. But that would raise suspicions. She dropped her head, and took a small bite, snapping it up quickly, not tasting it. She wrinkled her nose at the taste, and shook her head. Her stomach wouldn't be able to take it.

"You okay, Silence?" Wes asked, licking up the remainder of his ham. "I thought it was good... dont' you like ham?"

"Can't talk or won't?" Chance joked, cocking one eyebrow in a mischievious disposition. He remembered his first time with The Resistance, and felt a twinge of nostalgia at the memories. "Don't worry Silence, I'm sure you'll fit right in. Especially with a friendly pup like Wes here to show you the ropes." He smiled down at the pup and the newcomer.

Sora rolled her eyes as Wes and Chance talked to Silence. 'The name fits well.. ' she thought to herself before walking over to one of the large trees that was by The Den and sat down in the shade, her small body barley able to be seen in the darkness.

Wes "smiled" hugely, his tongue hanging out in the heat. One pointy ear flopped down against his head as if he were to lazy to keep it strait. He glanced back at Silence, " Oh yeah, you'll love it here!" He promised.

She heard them, and nodded, trying to look as eager as possible. She was already seeming to fit in. They didn't suspect her, and this was how she would keep it. But she was itching for some real food, to go catch herself on of those stupid pigeons. She slowly crouched, tail wagging back and forth. She then pulled herself back up straight, and glanced around.

"What do you want to do, Silence?" Wes asked. He thought, knowing she wouldn't be able to tell him. He'd list things and see if she nodded to it or not. "Do you... want to see our territory?"

She shrugged, and nodded, just so that he'd stop talking and start moving. At least, stop talking about all this useless stuff. She could figure out a way to ask him about the stuff she needed to know when they were alone. No eager ears overhearing her eagerness to find out about their group.

"Cool!" Wes jumped to his paws. "We'll see you later Chance." He grinned up at his pack mate. "I'm going to show Silence our territory, the soon she knows it the better right?" He turned back to silence and trotted a bit away. "I'll show you the blood border too. Don't ever go there." He warned. "They'll rip you to shreds and kill you without a second thought." He shuddered and a whimper escaped his mouth. "We'll be real careful." He promised.

Bernard sat watching the activity of his pack mates. He was laying down, panting heavily, his tongue hanging out. He was very relaxed right now and he watched Wes's enthusiasm with a deep chuckle, enjoying the young life. Wes had so much energy, he was a good pup. He had a lot to learn, but he was a good boy.

She nodded at everything he said. Blood border. So that's how they think of us. That we'll rip them to pieces... That's a pretty good reputation, in my opinion. Not too shabby. She thought with a slight smile, and then wiped it off her face, staring at Wes with her wide, blinking blue eyes.
